GIRLS BASKETBALL IS HERE
MYA is officially launching
MYA Youth Girls Basketball Club (MYAYGBC)
Jersey Shore
Grades 3–8
Train. Compete. Grow.!
MYAYGBC is a select travel basketball program, meaning all players must attend scheduled tryouts held in the fall. Players are evaluated by coaching staff and placed on teams based on skill level, effort, and overall fit.
Our goal is to create the best developmental and competitive experience for every athlete.
When enrollment allows, each grade level will typically include at least two teams:
At the 3rd-grade level, players are placed on balanced teams (such as Red and Blue) to ensure equal development opportunities.
In some cases—particularly in grades 3–5—additional teams may be formed (such as a White team) depending on registration numbers.
All MYAYGBC teams compete in a regional youth basketball league appropriate to their age and skill level, along with additional tournament play throughout the season.
Teams are placed into divisions that match their competitive level, with placement based on performance, evaluations, and league guidelines.
At the 3rd-grade level, teams are placed in beginner-friendly divisions to ensure proper development and fair competition as players enter travel basketball for the first time.
We believe the right team placement is essential for player growth. Every athlete should be challenged, supported, and placed in an environment where she can improve confidence, skill, and basketball IQ.
